Baltimore's Comedian of the Year, now one of Hollywoods hottest rising stars.

Bio

A hip hop hippie is the best way to describe the comedy of Washington D.C. native, Jay Phillips. Jay is one of the funniest and hardest working comics on the circuit. Jay moved from D.C. to Baltimore when he landed the job as host of the morning 102.7 The Beat. Jay was awarded Baltimore Comic of The Year in 2000 and 2002. Jay has since moved to Hollywood where his stand up has been featured on “Comic View,” “Loco Comedy Jam” , “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn”,

Jay performs regularly at the Laugh Factory, Improv, Comedy Union and the Ice House comedy clubs. His other projects include a starring role in the independent film “Watermelon Heist”. Also landing an appearance on the Tracy Morgan show and a co-starring role on the #1 show on FX ,“The Shield”

Jay uses hip-hop as an engine to transcend race, stereotypes, and other social issues that affect our society today. Over 100 college campuses since 2003 already have experienced this unique one-man show!
